In light of the recent difficulties facing the country, the government has extended its sincere compassion to those affected, particularly in the aftermath of warehouse looting incidents.
Addressing the nation, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, assured citizens of the government’s unwavering commitment to the well-being of Nigerians.
The minister said that plans are underway to distribute 42,000 metric tons of grains across all 36 states, following approval from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Additionally, 58,500 metric tons of milled rice sourced from mega rice millers will be released into the market to stabilize prices and enhance food availability.
Acknowledging the resilience of the Nigerians, the minister emphasized the importance of unity in overcoming these challenges.
