The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched a solid minerals resource support system aimed at both local and international investors interested in Nigeria’s mineral sector.

ChannelsTV reports that during the launch ceremony, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative, highlighting its potential to enhance the ease of doing business in the solid minerals sector. He emphasized that the newly launched portal serves as a one-stop shop for investors, providing all necessary information to guide them in making informed investment decisions.

Alake also announced a financial capacity program aimed at supporting local investors who may lack the means to fully commit to minerals exploration in Nigeria. He encouraged investors to approach the ministry through the Solid Mineral Development Fund for assistance.

Speaking about the state of the nation, Alake remarked that President Tinubu’s first year in office would be a testament to his ambitious plans for Nigeria. Addressing the economic challenges facing the country, the minister urged Nigerians to be patient with the ongoing reforms and policies, assuring them that these measures are for the greater good.

Present at the ceremony was the Minister of Interior, Tunji Ojo, along with other top management staff of the ministry, as well as foreign and local investors. Ojo commended the ministry for the reforms being implemented and pledged the support of his ministry to ensure the total security of mining sites across Nigeria.
