The Nigerian government has granted approval for the construction of a private airstrip at Canaanland, the headquarters of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, commonly known as Winners Chapel, located in Ota, Ogun State.
Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the church, shared this development during a special service at Canaanland.
The airstrip is expected to ease travel for worshippers and visitors, especially during large events like Shiloh, the church’s annual convention.
“Our members can now land and park their aircraft directly at Canaanland, providing easier access for worshippers and guests from all over the country and beyond,” Bishop Oyedepo stated.
He further explained that the airstrip will allow for direct travel to the church, bypassing the need to first arrive at major airports. This will be a major convenience for the thousands who visit the church, particularly during large gatherings.
The project will be fully funded by the church, reflecting Living Faith Church’s commitment to self-reliance and infrastructure development. Oyedepo emphasized that this move aligns with the church’s mission to fund its own initiatives while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Although the timeline for construction is yet to be revealed, church leaders have assured that the project will be executed promptly, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
