Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna, has posted a cryptic message on social media a few weeks after the Senate declined to confirm him as a minister.
Despite being nominated as a ministerial candidate by President Bola Tinubu, el-Rufai and two others were not confirmed by the Senate due to “adverse” security reports against him.
El-Rufai’s post on X (formerly Twitter) shared the lyrics of Bob Marley‘s song ‘Who The Cap Fit,’ which discusses trust issues and hypocrisy.
The former governor’s message prompted a response from Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna senator, who humorously remarked that he had “turned him into a Rastafarian and Reggae artist.”
El-Rufai and Sani, once allies, had a falling out in recent years.
