Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has been apprehended by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The arrest took place at Pinnock Estate in Lagos on Wednesday, following allegations of currency mutilation and misuse of the Naira.
This was confirmed by the agency’s spokesman, Mr Dele Oyewale in a telephone conversation with SaharaReporters on Thursday morning.
“It is true our boys arrested him yesterday evening in Lagos for naira abuse. We don’t have anything to do with his lifestyle. He was suspected of committing an economic crime and that was the reason for his arrest,” EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said.
