Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, captivated the audience during a cocktail event celebrating the 75th anniversary of the United Bank for Africa (UBA).
The anniversary took place during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
Davido delivered an energetic performance, treating attendees to some of his biggest hits, including “Aye,” “Skelewu,” and “Risky,” with the crowd enthusiastically singing along.
Notable figures in attendance included Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima and UBA Group Chairman Tony Elumelu, as well as other prominent personalities, all gathered to discuss Africa’s future.
Davido had expressed his excitement about attending the UNGA for the first time, tweeting about his arrival in New York and his hopes for an interesting experience.
