Davido deletes controversial video amidst backlash

The 45-second video, featured men wearing white jalabia and caps dancing in front of a mosque, while Olori sat on a speaker mounted on the roof of the building.

Popular Nigerian music artist, Davido, known as David Adeleke, recently deleted the much-controversial music video of his signee, Logos Olori, following a barrage of negative feedback.

The 45-second video, posted on Saturday, featured men wearing white jalabia and caps dancing in front of a mosque, while Olori sat on a speaker mounted on the roof of the building.

The use of the word “Alhamdulillah” (praise be to God) in the video drew criticism from fans, particularly Muslims, who condemned the perceived disrespect to their religious practices.

Davido posted the video on Instagram, promoting Olori’s new single, but after facing backlash on Twitter and other social media platforms, he decided to remove the video without offering any formal apologies or explanations.
