Dangote Refinery, situated in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, has officially commenced production. Recognized as the largest single-train refinery globally, this significant development is poised to reshape the nation’s economic and energy landscape.
The sprawling facility, strategically positioned in Nigeria’s commercial hub, initiated production in the early hours of Friday, marking a historic milestone in the country’s quest for self-sufficiency in the refining of crude oil. The commencement of operations comes on the heels of the successful delivery of six million barrels of oil supply to the refinery earlier in the week.
