Chima Udoye has won the Nigerian Idol Season 9 reality TV singing competition.
He was declared the winner on Sunday after months of intense competition with some of Nigeria’s top vocalists.
The grand finale kicked off with all 10 contestants performing John Legend’s “Glory.” The event featured special appearances from past winners of the show, Progress and Victory Gbakara.
The audience enjoyed guest performances by Simi and Chike before the top three contestants, Lammy, Chioma, and Chima, took the stage for their final performances.
Chima walks away with N30 million in cash, a music deal including a music video, a DSTV Explora with a one-year premium subscription, and a brand new SUV.
