Bobrisky denies bribing EFCC officials with N15m

VeryDarkMan shared a voice recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky, claiming he paid a N15 million bribe to EFCC officials to have money laundering charges dropped against him.

Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has denied allegations of bribing officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Tuesday night, influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, shared a voice recording allegedly featuring Bobrisky, claiming he paid a N15 million bribe to EFCC officials to have money laundering charges dropped against him. The recording also suggested that Bobrisky avoided serving a day in prison after being convicted and sentenced to six months for naira mutilation in April 2024, instead staying in a lodge arranged by his godfather.

However, reacting to the viral recording, Bobrisky dismissed the claims, stating that the recording was fake.

In an Instagram post, he clarified, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the internet, saying I paid EFCC 15 million naira and never went to prison. I didn’t pay any EFCC money; it is a very big lie. I served my term in full and I came out. Discard any false information.”
