The 13th Edition of the Ogwashi-Uku Awards/Dinner night is poised to captivate attendees on Monday, December 25, 2023, according to an announcement by Antonia Oguah, the chief host of the carnival.
This vibrant event is set to take place at the esteemed Frankbryan Resorts in Ogwashi-Uku, situated in the Aniocha South local government area, near Asaba.
Oguah enthusiastically shared that the carnival promises an enchanting evening filled with music, comedy, and relaxation, following the dynamic dance carnival performance earlier in the day.
Anticipating a distinguished gathering, Oguah noted, “The cream de la creme of Delta state, sons and daughters of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom, top government officials, tourists, as well as holidaymakers will be in attendance.”
A total of 15 awards will be bestowed upon deserving personalities from Ogwashi-Uku and other states of the federation for their commendable contributions to the overall development of the community, Delta State, and Nigeria.
Among the esteemed awardees are the Okeowo twin brothers, Arch and Engineer Okeowo, renowned for constructing the impressive Resort in Ogwashi-Uku. Also, recognized for their outstanding contributions are High Chief Iyase Mike Nwaukoni and High Chief Jude Ozah, the Isagba of Ogwashi-Uku Kingdom.
The awards ceremony is expected to be a momentous occasion, celebrating individuals whose efforts have significantly impacted the growth and prosperity of the community and beyond.
