Abuja residents hold candlelight procession for Mohbad

On Friday, residents of Abuja gathered at the Unity Fountain for a candlelight procession in memory of the late singer Mohbad.

Ilerioluwa Aloba, a Lagos native, passed away last week under circumstances that many consider suspicious.

Mohbad’s death has sparked widespread discussions across Nigeria, prompting numerous individuals to take to the streets, advocating for justice.

In alignment with the nationwide calls for justice, residents of Abuja gathered at the Unity Fountain for a candlelight procession and concert, echoing a similar event held by Lagosians a day earlier.

Despite Mohbad’s recent passing, questions about the circumstances leading to his demise persist.

The candlelight procession in Abuja coincided with nationwide demonstrations, as Nigerians demanded justice for the late singer. Participants at the event, mainly dressed in white tops, carried placards conveying their message. The gathering commenced at 7pm and featured energetic dancing to Mohbad’s music. Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh was also present at the event.
