The Senate has postponed screening newly appointed ministers from Tuesday to Wednesday.
Basheer Lado, the president’s special assistant on Senate matters, announced this in a statement on Tuesday.
Lado stated that the postponement allows all seven nominees to complete their documents.
Tinubu dismissed five ministers last week and requested that the Senate ratify seven new ministry candidates.
Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu was appointed Minister of State Foreign Affairs, and Jumoke Oduwole was sent to the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.
Nentawe Yilwatda was appointed to replace suspended Betta Edu as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, while Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi was designated Minister of Labour and Employment.
Idi Mukhtar Maiha was appointed Minister of Livestock Development, and Yusuf Abdullahi Ata was made Minister of State, Housing, and Urban Development.
Suwaiba Said Ahmad was also nominated as Minister of State for Education.
