Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, affectionately known as Jnr Pope, has tragically passed away. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon while he was on a boat for a film shoot.
Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, has confirmed that Junior Pope’s remains have been taken to the morgue. Additionally, it has been verified that one crew member’s body has been retrieved, while three others remain missing. The unfortunate mishap transpired when their boat collided with another vessel in the vicinity of the River Niger in Anambra State.
Just before the incident, Junior Pope shared a video of himself in a speedboat without a life jacket, expressing concerns about the risks involved in their profession. He wrote, “See me lamenting the risk we take to entertain you, crossing river 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…who does that?
