President Bola Tinubu has commended the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu‘s effort in the fight against corruption and insecurity.
The President made this known at the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum in Doha where he reaffirmed the country’s commitment to combatting corruption and insecurity.
According to a press statement released by the President’s Special Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu emphasised that Ribadu‘s appointment signifies a significant bolstering of Nigeria’s stance against corruption, as he brings with him a wealth of experience and global recognition for his anti-corruption efforts.
The statement reads:
“The war against corruption and insecurity in Nigeria had been significantly strengthened with the appointment of the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, as National Security Adviser (NSA). We have a man who has won many global awards for anti-corruption as an anti-corruption czar.”
President Tinubu underscored the pivotal role of Ribadu‘s appointment in addressing the nation’s security challenges. With Ribadu at the helm as NSA, Tinubu expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to tackle insecurity effectively and ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
Speaking to an audience of Qatari investors, President Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s readiness for serious business, assuring international stakeholders of the government’s commitment to dealing decisively with any obstacles that undermine investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
He urged investors to report any instances of bribery or corruption, pledging direct access to the President’s Office for swift resolution.
