The British American Tobacco, BAT (Nigeria) Limited, will today unveil a 1.4MWP grid-tied solar panel system in its Ibadan factory.
The solar system unveiling will be part of the activities as the organization marks two decades of its Ibadan factory’s exceptional value delivery to the Nigerian economy, the environment, and the communities it serves.
The management of the company made the disclosure at the weekend during a press briefing held to unveil its plans for the company’s 20th anniversary in Lagos.

“The Factory has implemented a comprehensive environmental management system, incorporating stringent measures to reduce its carbon footprint.
“These efforts have resulted in significant reductions in energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation.
“The Factory has gained recognition for its commitment to environmental sustainability, highlighted by its recent setup of a 1.4MWP grid-tied solar panel system scheduled to be unveiled on 6th of February 2024.”
